With the Super Record X components, Campagnolo is expanding its platform for 13-speed drivetrain systems with a genuine Gravel option. And with the Bora X, the manufacturer from Vicenza presents the matching set of wheels, which is also the first Gravel-specific representative of the legendary model series. Developed for a perfect synergy, which is the prerequisite for top performance and an optimal riding experience and true to Campagnolo's philosophy that each component group deserves its own wheel. The result is a wheelset that transfers the brand's racing soul from the road to the Gravel discipline.
In order to meet the intensity and ever-increasing demands of competition use, the technical project is based on the three pillars of speed, aerodynamics and controllability. The Bora X wheels were designed in the wind tunnel and tested on the toughest terrain to combine fast responsiveness with stability, absorb vibrations and ensure optimum riding precision in all conditions. Accordingly, the spec includes 50 mm high carbon rims with a C27 inner profile and a hook design, which is ideal for tires with a width of 35 mm or more. While the unidirectional fiber orientation, which is aligned with the respective external force, has been adopted from the road bike version, the proven G3™ spoke pattern has been modified to take on the specific stresses of fast Gravel trails. In this configuration, aerodynamic spokes are combined with elliptical spokes to reduce turbulence, promote air penetration and achieve a good balance between stiffness and comfort.
Visually, the rims stand out thanks to the Campagnolo Luxury Finish, or C-LUX for short. Its mirrored surface is not only an eye-catcher, but by dispensing with a paint finish, it also ensures a lower weight and improved impermeability when using Tubeless tires. This aesthetic is refined by the perfect harmony with the reference group, which is reflected in the "X" logo in "Black Chrome" and rounded off by the timeless "winged wheel". In the Bora X wheelset, this iconic symbol of excellence and tradition meets low weight, explosive acceleration, superior control and absolute reliability, even on the most demanding tracks.

2-Way Fit | An innovative rim profile on which both tubeless tires and classic wire bead tires can be mounted. With 2-Way Fit everyone can try out for themselves which of the two solutions suits them better. It is also possible to fit the wire bead tires for daily training and use the tubeless solution for race day. The Tubeless tire is undoubtedly the tire of the future for road cycling. In addition to greater comfort, better rolling characteristics due to the complete elimination of friction between the tires and inner tube are another advantage of tubeless tires. They are also safe from sudden air loss. And if you do get a puncture, the 2-Way Fit system allows you to simply remove the sealing valve and fit a normal inner tube for a trouble-free ride home.
C-LUX Finish | A further development of the already first-class surface of Campagnolo carbon rims. The glossy, mirror-like surface is not only high quality, but also so flawlessly smooth that it requires no paint, thus saving weight. In addition, the C-LUX technology ensures an extremely secure fit of Tubeless tires by increasing the pressure seal, facilitating assembly and reducing the risk of abrasion on the rim bead.
G3™ Spoke Geometry | Campagnolo's iconic spoke geometry breaks with the conventional arrangement of road bike wheels. The groups of three parallel spokes are arranged in a 2:1 ratio from the hub. Due to the double number of spokes on one side, wheels with G3™ technology achieve a perfect balance of tension, which increases stiffness and improves power transmission. In addition, the triplet scheme reduces the occurrence of vibrations and micro-deformations of the rim under tension. While the rear wheel has more spokes on the drive side to absorb the forces that occur when pedaling and act on the cassette, the opposite is true for the front wheel, where the braking load is the decisive factor that needs to be absorbed.
Ultra Smooth Bearings (USB) | Campagnolo hubs with USB ceramic bearings not only improve the rolling behavior of the wheels, but also reduce their weight and maintenance requirements. Absolutely smooth surfaces ensure less friction, which reduces energy loss as much as possible. In this way, almost all of the power can be transferred to the road without loss. Comparative tests show that the USB models developed at Campy Tech Lab are 50 % smoother than standard bearings.
