The experience-oriented CUES series combines incredibly smooth and stress-free shifting behavior with durability suitable for E-Bike use and up to three times greater longevity thanks to LinkGlide technology. With the U6030 components, Shimano is expanding the CUES family to make it easier for riders to get started in road bike and gravel sport.

The FC-U6030 crank from the Shimano CUES series was designed for reliable performance in gravel use. Accordingly, it not only ensures excellent chain retention, but also a smooth pedal stroke when riding off-road sections thanks to chainring options of 40 or 42 teeth.

While the special Dynamic Chain Engagement+ tooth design is responsible for the optimized chain guidance, the two-piece construction improves stiffness without unnecessarily increasing the weight. The result benefits not only efficient power transmission, but also riding enjoyment.

2-Piece Crankset | The two-piece construction, in which the right-hand crank arm is firmly connected to the shaft of the bottom bracket, serves to optimize the ratio between stiffness and low weight. In combination with the external bearing, which also results in an increased bottom bracket distance, the power transmission is noticeably improved.

Dynamic Chain Engagement+ | The special tooth profile for chainrings of 1-speed drivetrains noticeably improves chain retention, which also makes pedaling easier in rough terrain and offers particular advantages in the MTB application areas of Cross County, Enduro and Trail. The optimized chain guidance also reduces abrasion and wear, regardless of the gear selected.
