For nearly three decades, Deore XT has stood for trail-proven durability, reliability, and performance. As mountain biking becomes faster and the terrain more technical, it is the job of the M8100 components to give riders the confidence they need to perform at their best.
Typical of Shimano, the innovations of the high-end XTR parts are also incorporated into the Deore XT. Accordingly, Micro Spline and Hyperglide+ are included in the new 12-speed group.
Shimano Deore XT brake set consisting of the BL-T8100 3-finger brake lever and the BR-M8100 2-piston brake caliper. The result of this combination is reliable brake control in all conditions. Smooth and easy maintenance is ensured by the proven One Way Bleeding system and the Easy Hose Joint System, which makes replacing brake lines much easier.
In braking systems with J-Kit brake hose connections, the brake lever has an integrated pinch seal (olive), which makes installing and removing the brake hose much easier.
The Shimano Deore XT BL-T8100 brake lever offers more braking power and intuitive modulation, which is also suitable for use on electric trekking bikes. Its longer 3-finger lever has improved ergonomics to ensure optimal control. Thanks to the I-Spec II design, compatible shift levers can be mounted directly on the brake lever. The reach of the brake lever can be adjusted directly without additional tools. The Deore XT trekking brake lever is compatible with both 2- and 4-piston brake calipers.
With its 2-piston design, the Shimano Deore XT BR-M8100 post mount brake caliper is ideal for cross-country use. Accelerated piston reset has further improved modulation performance compared to its predecessor, resulting in better brake control. The brake pads, in combination with the lightweight 2-piston caliper, guarantee excellent deceleration while keeping weight to a minimum.
