To create a superlight, protective rain jacket for all-mountain riding, Assos began by taking a page out of their road shell playbook, most notably in the form of its Schloss Tex fabric. This proven 3L waterproof softshell is durable and exceptionally breathable, making it the ideal canvas to begin with for a water-shedding shell.

The next phase involved designing the jacket around the trailFit, which is trim enough to avoid snagging singletrack tree limbs and boulders yet loose enough to give you a free range of upper body movement. Standing upright yields a light tug across the chest and seemingly long sleeves, yet spread your arms wide to a modern all-mountain bike’s handlebar and hinge forward, and you’ll feel the jacket click perfectly into place.

From here Assos went into trail-tested features, such as the drop-tail hem that keeps your backside shielded from wheel spray and mud, the extended wrists with flexible panels that smoothly integrate with gloves, and their unique hood-under-helmet design that keeps your head dry and vision unobstructed with the addition of a stretchy NEOS Light fabric panel. Add fully taped seams throughout, zippered front pockets, and a double-slider zipper to the package, and you have a watertight shell for any and all adventures where rain is in the forecast.

NEOS Light: Found on the hood panel, this patented 3L windproof and highly breathable softshell is constructed with a PU bonded membrane for added water-repellency. Weight: 270g/m2; Breathability: MVP 27,000g/m2/24h; Water Column: more than 10,000mm; Elasticity: 4-way stretch.

Taped Seams: Found along the front, shoulders, rear panels, and zippers, these increase the watertight properties of the jacket.

Helmet-Compatible Hood: Scuba-style hood promotes unobstructed vision, is designed to be worn under the helmet when needed, and features a pass-through section for the helmet strap.

Flex Cuffs: Flexible, water-repellent inserts seamlessly pair with gloves and make it easy to pull the jacket on and take it off.

Extended Rear Panel: A drop-tail protects your lower back from wheel spray and mud.

Double-Slider Zipper: Ventilate from the top or bottom with ease. Robust construction with oversized pull tabs for intuitive, glove-friendly operation.

DWR: Treated with the Durable Water Repellent treatment to add one more level of insurance against the elements.
