Prologue rims feature a classic hooked rim flange, so any brand of tire can be used at any pressure and there is no risk of tire blowouts that hookless road bike rims can suffer.
At the heart of the Prologue wheels is the reliable Boyd Cycling Skyuka Disc hub, which features a fast engagement angle of 10 degrees, a tool-free replaceable freewheel body, sealed Abec-3 cartridge bearings and centerlock brake disc mount. The wheel is built with Pillar Aero 1423 J-bend spokes and Pillar DSN brass nipples, which provides more stability overall.
The 44mm tread height provides the ideal blend of light weight, aerodynamic benefits and crosswind stability. And with an inner width of 19 mm, road bike tires between 25 and 32 mm can be comfortably ridden. Gone are the days when you needed a heavy aluminum wheel for everyday use and had to switch to the fast wheels for racing.
