The bearings are built by installing ceramic balls in hardened-steel races. It means a 75% reduction in drag versus conventional bottom brackets. The CeramicSpeed Balls are 400% smoother and 128% harder than steel. CeramicSpeed Standard Bearings have frictional drag 0.3-0.4w per set with standard grease. They also last at least 3x longer.
- Depending on the riding conditions CeramicSpeed recommend once a year to re-grease the bearings of your CeramicSpeed Headset.
- If used in very wet or muddy conditions, maintenance might be required more often.
- When maintaining your CeramicSpeed Headset, it´s recommend using the CeramicSpeed LongLife Grease, also provided in the product package.
