The Corespun casing (cotton / polyester) delivers exceptional smoothness, stability and lightness. The high-density structure of the casing reaches 320 TPI and make this tire very supple and provides a very low rolling resistance. Open tubular tires mount like a standard clincher and are made using the same process as regular tubular tires, but instead of sewing the casing together, the sides of the tubular casing are folded around aramid fiber cords to produce the beads. The result is a tire that maintains most of the suppleness and ride quality gained from a tubular to offer excellent traction and cornering grip, low rolling resistance and shock absorption.
