T-handle: The T-handle consists of seven factory-assembled parts: a threaded T-handle, a strike plate, a bushing, an O-ring for the bushing, a handle bar, and two retaining rings for the handle bar. The T-handle provides the force required for bearing removal.
Extension Shaft: The extension shaft screws into the end of the T-handle and compresses the taper and split rings, providing a surface for inserting and removing bearings. A 4mm hex wrench can be inserted into the end of the extension shaft to increase leverage.
Cone: The cone slides into each of the three split rings, expanding them to a size that will engage the outer ring of a bearing during removal. The three split rings are marked 1, 2 and 3.
Guide Bushings: The four bushings are used to guide the T-handle shaft in the bearings and bearing bores during bearing removal. The guide bushings are marked A, B, C and D.
KnurledRing: The knurled ring E is used to hold the bearings in place during dismounting and generates the force to press the bearings into place during mounting. The knurled ring has a smooth outer surface for gripping and a hole on the side into which a 4 mm hex wrench can be inserted and gripped to provide additional leverage.
Taper driver: The taper driver is used to remove the sealing ring from old drive cups with needle bearings (except BMX drive cups).
Cone tool: The adjustment cone tool is used for the assembly and disassembly of two-piece axles.
Tooth Shaft Wrench: The HG Tooth Shaft Wrench is used to hold HG, XD and XDR drive cups when removing or installing drive cup end caps. The MS Toothed Shaft Wrench is used to hold Microspline drive cups when removing or installing drive cup end caps. The serrated U-wrenches have flats for clamping in a vise or holding with an adjustable wrench, slip joint pliers or channel lock pliers.
ParkTool FR 1.3: The FR 1.3 is used to remove and install end caps in XD, XDR and Microspline drive housings while holding the drive housing in a gear wrench.
