The Chromag Vanguard handlebar offers the same advantages as the OSX, but is shorter and suitable for children. Aluminium from the aerospace industry is used in its manufacture. This provides properties such as high strength and toughness as well as additional resistance to stress and corrosion. HTX technology eliminates irregularities in the heat treatment of the aluminium and provides a consistent, high-quality material structure for each individual handlebar.
By increasing the size of the tapered sections and using a larger radius, Chromag has been able to build more strength into the shape of the OSX. And by varying the wall thickness, strength can be increased where it is needed. In addition, weight can be kept low in less stressed areas.
