On the basis of the activated silica compound, Continental have worked single-mindedly towards a compound technology in the performance segment. After intensive development efforts, the result of the Korbach research and development department brought forth a new compound technology with excellent grip and cross-country properties. The new rubber compound with the self-explanatory name "PureGrip" ranks behind the BlackChili Compound and is used in performance products in the race and mountain bike segments. Here it ensures long-lasting traction and high mileage for Continental tires, which are manufactured exclusively at the production facility in Hefei (Asia).

The ShieldWall system combines the optimum combination of high puncture protection and best smooth running at low weight. This is made possible by an additional puncture protection layer running all around, which consists of a finely woven cross fabric. This gives the tire a high resistance to punctures and injuries. Despite the additional layer, the tire has very good damping properties and has high flexibility to adapt perfectly to the surface. The revolutionary Tubeless Ready foot allows easy and uncomplicated mounting of the tire.

Tubeless Ready

The carcass construction is particularly resistant and insensitive to damage and the penetration of foreign bodies. As a result, the tires are versatile, have a low weight and an attractive design. In addition, the tires with this technology can also be used tubeless or in combination with an inner tube.
