Twentyniner all mountain/enduro wheelset with many interesting and well sophisticated details. Simple and beautiful, the Crankbrothers unique wheel design is based around principles of strength, stiffness and acceleration.
The Iodine 3 comes with a 6061-T6 rim profile, which features an updated inner width of 28 mm. In contrast to the Iodine 2 an aluminium freehub and double-butted stainless steel spokes are used. These spokes connect at a vertical rib. There are no spoke holes through the rim wall or rim bed and is therefore suitable for tubeless systems. Elongate alloy nipples and short stainless steel spokes simplify truing and optimize wheel stiffness and ride quality. Twin pair spokes are laced in a low-dish mirror pattern. Designed with twelve points of contact on a 24-spoke wheel to create balanced tension. The iodine rear hub has a stiff, oversized axle. This brings perfect alignment to the large three pawl system. The freehub ratchet features 21 teeth.
The front hub utilizes a 15x110 mm and the rear a 12x148 mm BOOST thru axle.
